         Therapist Background

 

Jennette is a graduate from The Humanities Center for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork located in Pinellas County, FL., one of the top schools in the country for massage therapy. Graduating with honors and achieving her certification in Swedish, Deep Tissue, Neuromuscular, Trigger Point, Myofascial Release and Positional Release. In addition, Jennette also specializes in Sports Massage, Pre-Natal Massage, Hot Stone, Reiki and Aromatherapy.  Jennette is Nationally Board Certified and Licensed in the State of Virginia to practice massage and is a professional member of the American Massage Therapy Association and she received her attunements as a Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki Master – Seichim Master in 2003.

 

Moving to Virginia Beach, VA, in March 2004, Jennette’s dream was to provide a wellness center that tended specifically to stress and pain relief through advanced massage therapy techniques. She opened The Bodyzone Wellness Center in 2004 and is helping clients all over Hampton Roads to live a healthy lifestyle.  In addition to physical pain and stress management through massage therapy, Jennette has developed a natural line of body products designed for the healthy lifestyle. These products are designed to heal the skin naturally and bring emotional balance, stress relief and many other benefits to the whole person through use of 100% pure essential oils.

 

Jennette continues her studies and has by personal choice been an active student of metaphysics, quantum physics and positive thinking as a gateway to promote healing and happiness. The past seven years of study have earned Jennette a Doctor of Divinity Degree and is an ordained an Interfaith-Spiritual Minister.  Her experience and devotion to healing the whole person is seen everyday by encouraging a people to ask as many questions as they want and answering them so they to can learn. Learning is knowledge and knowledge is wisdom so you find your own personal path in life.  She believes very strongly that people do not need to be told what their path in life is, but rather need to learn how to find what it is on their own. After all, the journey to find your path is part of the experiences in life you must go through to realize your true and sacred self. 

 

Jennette continues her studies and is currently working toward her Metaphysician Degree while actively building The Bodyzone into a total wellness center for Mind, Body and Soul.
